Sergey Guriev will become a moderator of CEE Investment Conference

At the II Central and Eastern European Investment Conference Sergyi Guriev will moderate a section devoted to the investment climate of the CEE region.

Sergey Guriev – known Russian economist, Doctor of Economics, Rector of New Economic school, Director, Center for Economic Research (CEFIR), member of the Presidential Council for Science, Technology and Education.

In 2006 the World Economic Forum (Davos) included Sergei Guriev into the list of the “Young Global Leaders”. In 2009 he became the member of the first 100 names of the so-called “golden 1000” officials of the Medvedev’s List. Sergey Guriev is a member of the Board of Directors of Russia, the Russian Venture Company, HMLA, Alfa Insurance and the “Dynasty” Foundation. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Research Institute BRUEGEL (Brussels, Belgium), the Advisory Committee of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, fellow at the Center for Research in Economic Policy CEPR (London) and co-editor of the journal Economics of Transition (London).

Sergey Guriev’s works and researches on contract theory, microeconomics, economic development, and economic strategy are recognized widely. His works are published in such prestigious scientific journals as American Economic Review, American Political Science Review, Journal of European Economic Association, Journal of Economic Perspectives, «Problems of Economics”, “Economics of Contemporary Russia”, as well as in newspaper “Vedomosti”, New York Times, Moscow Times, magazines Forbes, “Expert”, “Spark”, “Russian Focus”, etc.
